About the Role
APA seeks a passionate and innovative Design and Technology Teacher to inspire students and equip them with the skills to design, create, and innovate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design thinking, technology, and hands-on making, and will be excited to nurture students' creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver engaging and challenging Design and Technology lessons aligned with the British curriculum.
Teach students design thinking, prototyping, and problem-solving skills.
Facilitate hands-on projects involving various technologies (e.g., 3D printing, laser cutting, coding) and materials.
Encourage students to think creatively and develop their own innovative solutions.
Foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Contribute to the school's innovation and entrepreneurship programs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Design, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
Proven experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary level.
Strong knowledge of design thinking principles and processes.
Proficiency in relevant software and technologies (e.g., CAD software, 3D printing, coding).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with the British curriculum is essential.
